Mark "Muddy" Dutton
Mark Dutton, (his friends and you will come to know him as "Muddy"), has been playing music for 25 years.  He started on trumpet, quickly moved to piano, began playing bass and guitar in rock bands and never looked back.  He has since become a producer and song writer, has toured around the world many times, and has either; played with, produced, engineered, co-written or toured with artists such as L.A. Guns, Marc Ford, Kathy Valentine, Dwight Yoakam, The Go Gos, Gilby Clarke, Jessica Simpson, Brian Jonestown Massacre and many more.  He currently spends as much time as he can working with young rockers looking for guidance in an ever changing, ever more complicated music business. ROCKIN' HORSE ACADEMY is Muddy's dream come true, and hopefully a place where little dreams become realities.

Nina Heller
Nina Heller was born to ride and to be with horses, however, it took her nine years to convince her parents of this fact.  Now, over three decades later, she is just as enthralled with anything "horse".  Over those three decades, Nina has been a rider, a trainer, an instructor, a competitor, but has never lost sight of why she became involved in this "time honored sport" in the first place; the love of horses.  She passes on this love and respect through her teaching and training, which always considers the well being of our noble friends, and how to interact with them in a loving and caring way.  Nina has taught hundreds of people how to ride via college programs, private and public riding schools, horse camps, and therapeutic riding programs for the disabled, including those with learning disabilities.  For the past 15 years, she has run her own riding school in the San Fernando Valley, where she teaches riding and stable management to horse lovers of all ages.  Nina is a Certified Riding Instructor, and a California Dressage Society qualified rider.  She continues to compete, and has won many national and regional awards and championships on horses that she has trained herself.  Nina is also the author of several equine related magazine articles and a self published book of humorous short stories about one of her beloved horses.

Kelly Boyd
Kelly Boyd began her relationship with horses at the age of nine, when she convinced her parents that a package of ten riding lessons would make a good birthday present. After seeing her early enthusiasm, those ten lessons evolved into ten years of lessons, and Kelly is now a 19 year old sophomore at Scripps College in Claremont, CA.  Not one to let a little thing like college interfere with her commitment to horses, Kelly joined the Claremont Equestrian Team.  Her early years however, were spent riding with and working for Nina at Summerwood, the stables of Rockinhorse Academy.  It was at Summerwood that Kelly learned the fundamentals of horsemanship and dressage, and where she developed the greatest respect for the animals she so loves working with.  Kelly has a personal relationship with all the horses at Summerwood, having gotten to know their unique personalities during her time there.  She has ridden several of them extensively, and has nothing but thanks for everything they have taught her.
